dallas workout

Whew, what a week!

I can honestly say that the past seven days have flown by like the blink of an eye! I didn’t even realize that it has been a week since my last post and my Thursday trip to Dallas, TX.

Last week, when I wrote to you, I was in the airport on my way to Dallas. I had such a great time catching up with my Maid of Honor and her family – they’re the best. We even knocked off the whole, “Bridesmaid dresses,” thing. Now I only have 122 more things to accomplish before the wedding day!

Then, when I got home from my trip on Monday, I jumped right into Save-the-Dates and prepping for a two-week work trip! You could say I have been a little busy, even if I crammed in a trip to see Beauty and the Beast this morning.

My running route in Dallas.

So while I was in Dallas I only worked out one of the days that I was there. Honestly, sometimes it is really difficult to keep yourself on track and I am convinced those little breaks are good for your soul – even if it makes it hard to get back after it when you get home.

I wanted to share the workout I did do while I was down in Dallas though, because it can literally be done anywhere!

My Maid of Honor and her family recently moved to this amazing area of Dallas that is just so, so country. I mean, their neighbors literally have cows and a horse!

Since it is so quiet out there, I thought I’d take advantage of the opportunity to hit the pavement for a quick warmup!

The house I was obsessed with on their street in Argyle, Texas.

I started my workout by running three soft miles. (Soft because I jogged, none of that fast paced stuff – just tried to take in the scenery).

Then when I got back to the house, this was the breakdown of what I did…

5 rounds with as little rest as possible:

  • 40 Back Kicks
  • 40 Mountain Climbers
  • 40 High Knees
  • 25 Forward Lunges (each leg)
  • 15 Tuck Jumps
  • 15 Burpees

Enjoy! 🙂
